The Vegan Inclusion Charter

The Vegan Inclusion Charter is a set of principles that we expect every certified workplace to comply with.

After completing the Vegan-Inclusive Workplace Assessment, you’ll sign up to the Charter to confirm your ongoing commitment to vegan inclusion at work. This gives both you and your employees clarity on what it means to be a Certified Vegan-Inclusive Workplace.

Inclusion in Policy

We actively include veganism in our diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policy, recognising the need to accommodate vegan employees.

Food and drink

Whenever we offer food to our employees, we provide a vegan option that is equivalent in quality, quantity and nutrition to any non-vegan option.

Uniforms and products

We strive to source vegan alternatives for products, personal protective equipment, uniforms and furniture used by staff.

Workplace tasks

We consider vegans when assigning tasks, making adjustments where possible to avoid conflicts with vegan beliefs.

HR decision-making

In HR processes, like recruitment and promotion, a person's veganism will never be used against them.

Celebrations and events

We host vegan-inclusive workplace events, and provide vegan alternatives when celebrating in-house or externally.

Workplace culture

We foster positive relationships between vegans and non-vegans, striving to eliminate workplace tension.

Listening and Learning

We listen to the needs of vegan employees and consider them in good faith whenever issues are raised.
